2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1 pinch salt

1 cup sour cream

1 cup raisins

Preheat oven to 350°

In a mixing bowl, blend butter and sugar together until smooth.  Beat eggs in one at a time; add sour cream.  Sift flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt together, blend in sour cream.  Fold in raisins.  Pour into a 9x5 well-greased loaf pan.  Bake in a 350° oven for 50 to 60 minutes.  To test for doneness:  A toothpick will come out clean when inserted near the center.
