Miniature Pecan Tarts

Tarts

1 stick butter
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese - (room temperature)
1 cup all purpose flour
Filling
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg - slightly beaten
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 tablespoon melted butter
3/4 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 325°

Tart Shells:

1 - Mix softened cream cheese, butter and flour well.
Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Form into 24 small balls.
Pressed into a well greased mixture muffin pan.

Filling:


2 - Mix brown sugar, egg, vanilla, and butter together in a bowl.
Place about 1 teaspoon of filing into each prepared tart shell.
Sprinkle pecans on top of each one.

3 - Bake at 325° for 25 minutes.
Let cool about 10 minutes then remove tarts to finish cooling on a wire rack.
