As a descendant of Confederate Veterans I am very pleased to have stumbled upon your web site. This is fantastic work. I currently live in Florida which has a terrible infestation of Yankee Carpetbaggers who are totally ignorant of the true cause of the War of Northern Aggression. I'm looking forward to retirement so I can return to my beloved North Carolina. God Bless you and your efforts.

It makes me sad not hear the wonderful Southern songs I heard and sang as a child. Out southern heritage is fading away. The South was once so gentile. I need to feel close to my heritage, but no one has time. Help.

This is a very impressive site. I'm not an American but I very much admire Dixie culture and fact that the confederate flag was based on the cross of St. Andrew which is the sultier of Scotland, in fact during the civil war there were even a couple or so Confederate flags based on the cross of St George (sultier of England) such as the "Polks Corps Flag" just to name one. So I'm sure some of those infantry soldiers were distant relatives of mine. And look at some of the classic songs that are associated with the Confederates such as Dixie, Johnny Come Marching Home, The Yellow Rose Of Texas, etc. which are world famous and yet just about nothing from the north is known. And whats more, in other countries especially English speaking countries, people have heard of the American Civil War and the name that stands out the most with them or the only name they know, is the name Robert E-Lee. So it just goes to show the South had great significance. So I sure hope you southerners will keep your heritage and especially preserve the Confederate Flags. In fact I own one of those stars and bars flags and I treasure it. All the best to yawl.

The South will always live as long as all of us never forget who we are and honor those who came before us to this great land. Slaves were not brought here under the flags of the South and our Battle Flag had not yet been thought of. White, Black & Yellow slaves were under the British and the United States flags. Linclon started the war between the states and the first land battle was here in what is West Virginia. May God Bless you for this web site.

My heart and soul is in the South. I never realized this until after military service ended in 1965. My ancesteries served the Confederate flag & I served the American Flag. Love all I have seen & read of DIXIE.

Beautiful website; reminding us and our children of who we are and who we were. I spend much time explaining to outsiders and students that the War Between the States was not simply about the one issue of slavery. This website will be a great aid to those undertakings. Good afternoon, Is there any way to get a file of the fast version of Dixie so I can use it as a ring tone for my cel phone? I love your site and really enjoy the music. I lived in Arkansas most of my life but moved to Alaska 6 years ago. I miss a lot of Southern things like family, friends, food and white tail deer hunting but I do not the heat. Thanks again for your site. Rod

Love, Love, Love Your Website!!! I was at the Lee Jackson Banquet for the John A. Lisk Camp SCV in Montgomery County, NC, on Saturday night as their guest speaker, then will attend the Lee, Jackson and Longstreet Banquet of the Asheboro, NC camp this Sat night....I do a first person interpretation of Anna Jackson in the year 1867, as she was a fellow tarheel, I felt she was the person I most identified with when I was choosing who I wanted to portray as a historic interpreter. I will use some of the arguments put forth by the negro gentleman from Georgia on the slavery issues. Enjoyed your music and your entire site! Thanks, and Long Live The South!

I would like to thank you for putting this website together. It's nice to see that some people actually realize that Florida is a southern state... with a rich history of independence, social grace, loyalty to freedom and liberty.
